The client is the major ecumenical church labor union in Finland. It has over 8000 members.
The original corporate design was made decades ago and was in a serious need of update. I wanted to make the design vibrant, modern and sleek.
Former "Kirkon alojen ammattiliitto SVTL ry" (Union of church employees), now known as "Kirkon alat", has been my client since early 2009 and we've had a very close-knit collaboration. We started off with the new web site and I've been the exclusive designer for them ever since that. I've done some noteworthy work for them, such as the Kirkon töissä -magazine, service guidebooks and various other printed products.

"Essi" concept
Mashing up illustrations and photography
I created a mascot character concept "Essi". She's a member of the union and she's always pondering current events and issues. Usually she's presented in somewhat ironic occasions. Here are a few images, in which Essi was presented on:
